10 por cento da cultura
Se partirmos das 100 entrevistas que temos na plataforma on-line do Produção Cultural no Brasil teremos o percentual de 10% dessas pessoas fotografadas fora do “cubo branco” que foi nossa morada por 6 semanas.
Fora do estúdio, da padronização dos fundos, da luz controlada, do ambiente impessoal, a vida de cada uma dessas pessoas se mostrou simples como a nossa e tão complicada quanto.
Os desafios de se produzir um discurso visual para 10% da cultura, ou seja, os 10 ensaios fotográficos desses livros, foram tão grandes e satisfatórios como devem ser sempre os afazeres culturais.
Estivemos no Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Paraíba, Pernambuco e Rio Grande do Norte. Em todos esses estados pudemos acompanhar mais de perto como tudo é feito, fosse esse tudo o carnaval carioca ou pernambucano. Vimos o cinema diminuir o tamanho dos seus sets e se digitalizar em Porto Alegre. Documentamos como a música é feita, seja em instrumentos artesanais mineiros, ou na organização de um show na Paraíba. Vimos ainda como essa música vira palavra nos versos da periferia paulistana, ou em um dos mais tradicionais programas da TV. Ainda em São Paulo registramos a minúcia e paciência de quem restaura a história. E subindo pelo nordeste presenciamos como todas essas estórias dos livros ganham movimento no corpo de cada artista.
Se 10% de tudo que fazemos vida afora fossem tão intensos quanto esses que registramos, faltariam palavras para descrevê-los… talvez seja por isso mesmo que fazemos imagens.
